SWIMMING LESSONS
Learn an important life skill from a qualified coach.
My journey into the fitness industry has been a long process. But this has meant I have been able to develop multiple different skills, to help lots of different people. After deciding to change my career from riding horses all day, I qualified as a lifeguard. Having previously swum competitively, I rediscovered a love for the water and the journey began there. Initially I was asked to help assist a local school group in the water, and I loved it! I really got an unbelievable buzz around seeing children swim for the first time and the joy that came with it - I still get the same feeling today! I quickly qualified as a swimming teacher - I travelled to Plymouth for the soonest course and trained with Swim England at the same pool Tom Daley dived at! After spending a few years teaching as a self-employed teacher I realised I wanted to work more with competitive swimmers - that brought with it the 5.30am pool starts! I reduced my teaching and qualified with Swim England as a coach. I was lucky enough to have a role with City of Norwich Swimming Club (where I learnt to swim myself) and was the lead Masters and County Youth Coach. During my time teaching and at the club, I gained a phenomenal amount of experience from non-swimmers to GB swimmers. Including Para-athletes and SEND children. This experience has enabled me to be able to help 100s of swimmers and I now offer private 1-1 lessons at an Endless Pool in Norwich. I use the Endless Pool to help more competent swimmers such as Triathletes to improve their technique and efficiency. Which is a great asset to have for providing injury help and rehabilitation. Personally, I have taken to open water swimming and have completed distances up to 5km in various lakes. If you would like help with your swimming, please send me an email.
